In a world that moves ever faster, where attention is fragmented and perception is constantly mediated by screens, the work of Chris Levine offers a rare kind of audacious serenity. Across continents, from the revered Saatchi Gallery in London to the sparkling waters of Sydney Harbour, Levine transforms light, frequency, and presence into a global meditation on LOVE — both as an emotional experience and as a vibrational phenomenon.
LOVE / NOW at Saatchi — A Chamber of Contemplation
At the landmark exhibition The Long Now, Saatchi Gallery assembles forty years of contemporary innovation under a unifying meditation on time and consciousness. Within this ambitious panorama, Levine’s LOVE / NOW emerges as a quietly radical centerpiece.

LOVE / NOW
The Long Now, Saatchi Gallery, 2026.
Using precision-engineered lasers, dynamic light fields, and a resonant sonic environment, the installation transcends conventional visual art. Blipverts project the words LOVE and NOW across the space, while a soundscape tuned to the Om frequency of 136.1 Hz, created by Levine’s long-term collaborator Marco Perry, completes the immersive environment. Visitors are not mere observers; they become participants in an orchestrated perception of now. In this chamber, light, language, and sound converge as both medium and message — a vessel for presence, reflection, and emotional resonance.

The Long Now, Saatchi Gallery, 2026.
LOVE / NOW offers a momentary refuge from the sensory overload of modern life, a reminder of the power of presence — an experience not to be missed. Levine’s work exemplifies a sophisticated balance: immersive without excess, cerebral without austerity, and emotionally charged without sentimentality. In the white-cube grandeur of Saatchi, LOVE / NOW asks us to reconsider temporality, inhabit the present, and encounter the sublime in subtlety.

A Meteorite of LOVE and Light Lands at Barangaroo Reserve
Thousands of miles away, Levine continues his exploration of LOVE and perception on a monumental scale. In case you missed the exhibition at Saatchi, Levine plans an even more spectacular lighting of Sydney with a celestial laser installation. Standing 23 metres tall on three metal legs, this 6.5-ton sphere with a meteorite positioned at its centre hovers above Barangaroo Reserve for Vivid Sydney, visible from as far as Balmain and Chatswood.

Chris Levine, Steel Sculpture with tranducer sound beam, UV and laser elements 25 x 6 meter-diameter sphere, 2021.
Created by the revered British artist, Molecule of Light vibrates with energy even during the day, as its nine layers of UV-reactive paint swirl and shift in response to sunlight. By night, it erupts into a stunning laser production that brings the cosmos to Barangaroo Reserve, moving in sync with the Earth’s rotation.
While the sheer scale of Molecule of Light is breathtaking, its most profound impact is deeply personal. The meteorite at its centre emits a tone set at 528Hz, often called the “frequency of love,” one of the strongest on the Solfeggio scale — an ancient set of frequencies believed to promote healing and meditation. By combining an awe-inspiring celestial spectacle with serene, enveloping sound, Molecule of Light induces a meditative state unlike any other, inviting viewers to feel, reflect, and resonate within the work itself.

Molecule of Light demonstrates that public art can be monumental yet profoundly human — commanding attention while nurturing reflection. It is a diplomatic, technological, and emotional triumph: a work that bridges science, art, and perception with visionary impact.

The Global Resonance of LOVE
From Saatchi to Sydney, Levine’s work articulates a singular proposition: LOVE, in frequency, light, and consciousness, is the connective tissue of our experience. One installation invites intimate meditation; the other commands public spectacle. Together, they reveal a new paradigm in contemporary art: immersive, visionary, and emotionally intelligent.

For audiences worldwide, Chris Levine offers more than visual delight; he provides a luminous continuum, a reminder that even amid sensory saturation, the most radical act may be to pause, to feel, and to resonate. In Levine’s hands, LOVE is not a sentiment — it is a frequency, a presence, and a transformative experience.
