
Alaïa’s new denim collection is more than a fashion release—it is a meditation on the body, form, and the intimate dialogue between material and movement. For decades, the Parisian maison has been synonymous with sculptural tailoring, its clothes operating as extensions of the human body. With this Spring 2026 collection, Alaïa applies that same philosophy to denim, transforming a fabric traditionally associated with casualness into a study in texture, proportion, and presence.
The line features six silhouettes—skinny, wide-leg, and barrel-leg styles—crafted in rope-dyed Japanese indigo. Each pair undergoes meticulous treatments: hand-washing, sanding, shaving, and laser techniques give the denim a nuanced surface that responds to touch and movement. Here, denim becomes tactile poetry, shaping the wearer while reflecting subtle gestures and posture, bridging the gap between functionality and artistry.

The collection is brought to life in a campaign shot by Sam Rock, starring Mona Tougaard. Shadows trace the body, light accentuates contours, and every pose captures the conversation between fabric and flesh. Clothing is not simply worn; it is inhabited, experienced, and observed. The campaign emphasizes the sculptural qualities of denim while situating the body as a living architecture—simultaneously strong, supple, and sensuous.
