The air above Santa Monica Airport hums with possibility. From February 26 to March 1, 2026, the historic hangars and open spaces will once again host Frieze Los Angeles, a fair that has, since its 2019 inception, become a cornerstone of contemporary art in a city defined by reinvention.

Under the vision of Christine Messineo, Director of Americas, Frieze Los Angeles has evolved into more than a marketplace—it is a celebration of Los Angeles itself. The fair brings together over 100 galleries from across the globe, each presenting works that push boundaries, spark dialogue, and reflect the ceaseless creativity of a city that has long been a nexus for innovation in the visual arts.

Visitors can wander between ambitious installations that defy expectation, immersive projects that engage the public directly, and pop-ups from some of the city’s most beloved restaurants, where the flavors of LA become part of the fair’s sensory landscape. Frieze Projects returns, commissioning public artworks and nonprofit presentations that highlight the breadth of the city’s artistic communities—transforming streets, hangars, and open spaces into unexpected stages for contemporary expression.

Frieze Los Angeles 2026 captures a city in motion: its art is as bold and varied as its skyline, its culture as diverse and spirited as its neighborhoods. More than a fair, it is a gathering of ideas, an exchange of perspectives, and an affirmation of Los Angeles’ enduring influence on the global art stage. In these four days, the city’s creativity pulses not just in galleries, but in the air, on the streets, and in the shared experience of everyone who enters this vibrant, ever-evolving world.
