MONACO, 12 June — The 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival opened in Monaco on Thursday under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, bringing together leading figures from the international television industry for one of broadcasting’s premier annual events.
The opening ceremony honoured several notable figures: Spanish actress Ester Expósito received the International Golden Nymph for Most Promising Talent, French broadcasting legend Michel Drucker was presented with the Festival’s Honorary Nymph, and Dame Kristin Scott Thomas received the Crystal Nymph Award for her outstanding contributions to television and cinema.
Founded in 1961 by Prince Rainier III, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival has championed excellence in storytelling across cultures for more than six decades.
